Our History
McLaren Hunt Financial Group was formed on the 1 July 2017, following the merge of Coffey Hunt Chartered Accountants and MBO Financial Group.
Coffey Hunt – History
The firm began in the 1950’s as Coffey and Co. In 1975 John Coffey, Owen Candy, Joe Purcell and John Prouse, who had all operated separately from the 1940’s, amalgamated to become Coffey & Co.
John Hunt joined the team at Coffey & Co in 1979 and shortly after became Partner. In that same year John Prouse, Owen Candy & Joe Purcell retired. With John Coffey & John Hunt as partners they changed the name to Coffey Hunt & Co Chartered Accountants.
MBO Financial Group - History
MBO Financial Group have been providing professional accounting services and business and farm advice since 1992 when Geoff McLaren and Ross Buzolich combined their accounting practices and established McLaren Buzolich & Co.
McLaren Hunt Financial Group currently has over 60 staff and provides a range of services as detailed under Our Services.
